Sport Ethos
Sport plays a significant role in the life of Five Ways. The school enjoys a strong tradition, where all pupils are encouraged to take an active role in both the National Curriculum and extracurricular opportunities available to them. Five Ways believes that competitive and non-competitive team or individual sport and exercise are crucial aspects of a young person’s education. All pupils are encouraged to develop their potential, creating the opportunity to allow later involvement at recreational level or within a competitive environment.
The PE departments philosophy of ‘Participation, Progression, Performance‘ is delivered in a wide and varied programme. We strive towards the pursuit of excellence, enjoyment and pushing the boundaries of progression in sport.
