Parent Information Evenings
On Wednesday and Thursday we were thrilled to welcome the parents of our Year 7 and Lower 6th students. Having been unable to invite families onto the site for such an extended period it was lovely to return to a sense of community. Despite a number of barriers, we had excellent attendance, which reinforces our long standing view that our parents are wonderfully engaged in their children’s education.
Both evenings were designed to support transition into the Five Ways family. Key staff were introduced, pastoral care explained, curriculum unpicked, opportunities made explicit and the pathway of the year brought to life.
We would love to hear the views of our Year 7 and Lower 6th families, to help us with our future planning and help us to refine these evenings. If you could spare 5 minutes to feedback to us on your experience of the evening and on how your child has settled into the school we would be hugely grateful. Link to Google Form
A public thank you to everyone within our teaching and associate staff who worked so hard to help deliver the evenings.
Looking ahead we are very much looking forward to welcoming Year 10 parents on Thursday 7th at 6pm (letters to follow).

Ski Trip Meeting
A reminder that there is a meeting for parents (and pupils) of those going on the Ski Trip in February Half Term scheduled for 6-7pm on Wednesday 29 September in the main school hall. If you have any queries please email Mr Atherton (email@example.com) or Mrs Guthrie (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We are currently experiencing problems with ParentPay. Unfortunately we are unable to upload our most recent pupil data. This has resulted in one or two issues with FSM allocations. Please be assured that this is receiving attention from ParentPay. The students are able to purchase food and their accounts will be updated once the issue is resolved.
Pupil Review Day (Thursday 30th September) for Year 7 and 8
For parents of Year 7 and 8 students, please find below, links to the parental letter and timetable relating to Pupil Review Day on Thursday 30th September. Form tutors will continue to remind their tutees of the arrangements for this exciting series of activities in the coming days but we would be grateful if parents could also talk through these details with their children.
