Curriculum Intent and Rationale

KEFW Drama Department has clear goals:

• To give all students an opportunity to engage and be involved with Drama in a curricular and extracurricular capacity.
• To equip students with basic skills for the creation and structure of performance work.
• To equip students with basic skills to explore themes and ideas through Drama
• Ensure more sophisticated skills are developed at appropriate levels
• To engender a sense of pride in the creation of Theatre
• To engender an interest in Drama as an art form and give opportunities to transition from an interest to a love of Theatre
• To ensure there is space for all voices and presences within the Drama Studio
